We have recently purchased an excellent sounding Mapex Orion Classic all maple drum kit.
Over the last few days we have put this thing through its paces and it sounds fantastic!
We have been able to get a really tight, controlled pop sound, as well as huge ringing rock tones. This is one of the most versatile drum kits around.
The Kit consists of:

10″, 12″, and 14″ Maple Toms
22×18″ Kick Maple Kick Drum
Zildian K Dark Crash, A Custom Crash, and Armondo Ride.
