Studio B – The Ultimate Atmos Studio – Can Now Be Yours

Studio B Is Now Available for Monthly Lease — Your Own Dolby Atmos Room in the Heart of North Hollywood

If you’ve been looking for a dedicated space to mix, produce, and create in Dolby Atmos without paying session rates every time you walk through the door, this is your moment. We’re opening up Studio B at Clear Lake Recording Studios for monthly leasing — and it might be the most accessible way to get yourself behind a world-class immersive audio setup in Los Angeles.

Two Options, One Incredible Room

We’ve structured the lease to fit different workflows and budgets:

Full Lease — $6,000/month The room is yours, 24/7, seven days a week. Come and go as you please. Treat it like your own studio, because for all practical purposes, it is.

Partial Lease — $3,000/month Three dedicated days per week with full around-the-clock access on those days. Perfect if you’re balancing multiple commitments but still need a professional home base.

Both options include the full Studio B setup: a 9.1.4 PMC Dolby Atmos monitoring system, Avid MTRX with Dante networking, dual or single computer configuration, a large vocal booth with a premium signal chain (BAE 1073 into a Tube-Tech CL1B with multiple microphone options), access to our shared lounge, and discounted booking rates on Studio A — our flagship tracking room with a Trident 80B console and a collection of vintage outboard gear.

Why Atmos Matters Right Now

This isn’t a “maybe someday” format anymore. Immersive audio is here, and if you’re not thinking about it, you’re already behind.

Apple Music changed the game. When Apple rolled out Spatial Audio across their entire platform and started actively curating Dolby Atmos playlists, they didn’t just add a feature — they created a new lane for discovery. Tracks mixed in Atmos get surfaced in dedicated Spatial Audio playlists, giving artists a real, tangible advantage in an ecosystem where playlist placement is everything. If your music shows up in a Spatial Audio playlist, you’re reaching listeners who are specifically seeking out immersive content — an engaged, growing audience that stereo-only releases simply can’t tap into.

The editorial push is real. Apple’s editorial team has been consistently spotlighting Atmos content across genres. Whether it’s hip-hop, pop, R&B, classical, or electronic music, Atmos mixes are getting premium placement. For independent artists and producers, that kind of visibility used to require a major label push. Now it requires the right mix.

Streaming platforms are following suit. Amazon Music, Tidal, and others have expanded their immersive catalogs. The infrastructure is in place, the consumer hardware is in people’s ears (every pair of AirPods Pro, every HomePod, every compatible soundbar), and the demand for immersive content is only growing. Studios and engineers who can deliver Atmos mixes today are positioning themselves for where the entire industry is heading tomorrow.

It’s becoming a client expectation. More and more artists, labels, and sync supervisors are asking for Atmos deliverables alongside stereo masters. Having the capability isn’t a luxury — it’s becoming a baseline requirement for studios that want to stay competitive. Engineers who can offer immersive mixing as part of their standard workflow are winning sessions that would otherwise go to someone else.

Why This Room, Why Now

Finding Atmos-capable rooms in LA isn’t impossible, but finding one you can call your own — without building out a space from scratch or locking into a massive commercial lease — is a different story. Studio B gives you a certified monitoring environment, professional-grade conversion and routing, and the support system of being inside an established, working studio. You’re not renting a room in a warehouse. You’re joining a facility where serious work happens every day.

And because you’re part of the Clear Lake family, you get preferred rates on Studio A whenever you need a tracking room, a live drum setup, or access to our vintage collection. Build your business out of Studio B and scale into Studio A when the project calls for it.

Let’s Talk

If you’re a mixing engineer building your client base, a producer who needs a permanent creative space, or an artist ready to invest in a professional home, we’d love to show you the room.

Reach out to set up a walkthrough. Serious inquiries only — this is a professional facility and we’re looking for tenants who will treat it like one.
